Kronos Ventures Transitions to Proxima
Kronos Ventures transitions to Proxima on 2 February 2026, continuing its portfolio responsibilities and expanding into venture, liquid investments and advisory.
Singapore, 2 February 2026 — Kronos Ventures is becoming Proxima, an independent investment firm. The change takes effect today and formalizes the team’s existing operational autonomy.
The same team will oversee the existing Kronos Ventures investments, preserving its governance standards and investment discipline. Under the Proxima identity, the firm broadens its work beyond early-stage ventures to include liquid-market investing and advisory services across crypto, emerging technologies and AI.
Kronos Research supports this step and expects the relationship with Proxima to include selected joint investments, exchange of research and help for founders. Kronos Research will also pursue its own strategic investment activity.
Proxima combines selective investment with hands-on strategic and operational support for founders, bringing its approach to venture capital, advisory work and liquid investments under an independent identity.

Today, Jason brings invaluable experience as he also serves as COO of Cambrian, an a16z-backed company building at the forefront of AI and crypto. The role provides Proxima, and the companies we work with, deep operational insights and practical hands-on guidance to building successful startups. Jason holds a First-Class degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.

He started out mining Bitcoin and Ethereum in 2014 and has since evolved into a sharp-eyed investor across blockchain and emerging technologies.
